In the world of translation, there is a large disparity between who gets translated and who is the translator. The Women in Translation website is an international, intersectional project that seeks to resolve this imbalance in global literature by promoting women* (*and transgender, nonbinary, and intersex individuals) from across all countries, all cultures, all languages, and all experiences. This project aims to give space to English, non-English, and untranslated literature written by women in all genres. Their ultimate goal is to provide "access to stories that truly reflect the vastness of the world in which we live, through different lenses shaped by language, culture, and experience."
