This problem is exacerbated for indigenous communities who often lack the resources to receive or provide any healthcare at all. This collection of stories, compiled before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlights the ways in which Indigenous Americans are grappling with the problems of accessing healthcare and health services and provides an introduction to the ingenuity of Indigenous Americans as they combat healthcare inequality.
