Come to this talk and explore why women globally still accumulate less wealth than men. At this talk, Céline Bessière, Professor of Sociology at the University of Paris-Dauphine and visiting professor at NYU’s Institute of French Studies, and Sibylle Gollac, a researcher in sociology at the CNRS, will address how and why, in every class of society, women are economically disadvantaged compared to their husbands, fathers, and brothers.
The talk will also include comments by Caitlin Zaloom, an anthropologist and Professor of Cultural and Social Analysis at NYU.
The talk will take place at La Maison Française of NYU (16 Washington Mews) on Thursday, February 29, at 6:30 PM. Learn more.
