A weekly long series of events to celebrate the experiences of trans and non-binary people.

Each year, between November 13 and 19, people, organizations, and institutions participate in Transgender Awareness Week, a time for trans people and their allies to take action and bring attention to the community by educating the public through stories, experiences, and advocacy around issues of discrimination and violence that affects the trans community. At NYU there is a week-long series of events to celebrate the lives and experiences of trans and non-binary people through conversations about how to better support the LGBTQ+ community in different environments.
Here are some of the events that will take place this week at NYU:
