How to Create More Diversity-Inclusive Classrooms

Faculty will also be invited to discuss strategies for promoting accessibility through intentional course design.

How can we make classrooms inclusive of students with disabilities? The Office of Global Inclusion (OGI) is presenting an upcoming session for NYU faculty on creating disability-inclusive classrooms.

This virtual training will equip faculty members with practical tools for promoting inclusion in class through the exploration of their understanding of disability and the examination of everyday experiences of ableism. Having a disability can be a significant marginalizing factor in a student's life and finding ways to meet the learning needs of students with disabilities can be pivotal in delivering quality education. At the training, faculty will also be invited to discuss strategies for promoting accessibility through intentional course design.

This free training will take place on Tuesday, April 16 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm via Zoom. Please RSVP here.

For any questions or requests, please email ogi.training@nyu.edu at least 72 hours before the event.
